Vacation/Ministry Trip Report

Hi everyone,
Announcement: For those of you who have not yet heard, God has blessed our family with another baby due in October!

Back in February, our family started an 18 day trip from Maine to Florida and back with multiple stops in between, covering a total of just over 4,000 miles. Driving the whole way. It was awesome! We had a lot of fellowship with other Christians along the way, and some great ministry opportunities.

We left Maine February 14th and went to the Boston, Massachusetts area. We stayed with a friend there, and greatly enjoyed our time. We actually stayed with this friend both on our way down and on our way back.

After we left there the first time we went to Tennessee and spent a couple nights with friends. These were friends that we had met in Key West who now live in Tennessee. They have 8 children. We enjoyed visiting with them.

After we left Tennessee we went to Georgia. There we stayed with a family of 10 who have a farm. Being someone who likes animals, I enjoyed being able to tag along with them for chores one night. We had met this family when we were in Georgia years ago. For those who do not know, our family used to travel around the country as missionaries working with different Churches. We traveled to a lot of different places and met a lot of different people.

While we were in Georgia, we also got to spend time with other friends who we have known for years in the same town. We used to live right near them and we met with them for Church when they had a meeting in their home. They are very hospitable and their fellowship is a blessing. We also visited these same two families in Georgia on our way back. After we left Georgia the first time we went down to the Tampa, Florida area.

While we were in the Tampa area we stayed with friends who we had known from that area when we used to work with Churches around the country. They have 3 kids. Spending time with them was amazing.

On the Saturday we were in the Tampa area, we drove over to Clearwater and went to Bread & Roses abortion mill and did some ministry there with Dick and Deb Maxwell, and a few other Christians. We had a great time meeting these brothers and sisters in Christ and ministering alongside them, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and speaking to mothers and fathers planning to murder their children.

On that Saturday that we were there, two people turned away from the abortion mill. One man came with a woman. The man got out of the vehicle and went with the deathscorts, but the woman remained in the vehicle the entire time. The man then came back and as he pulled out he said "I took y'alls advice, I'm out of here."

Another woman started pulling into the driveway. A couple Christians went over to the car and talked to her. She would not admit what she was there for, but she ended backing out into the street and leaving. No matter what she had come there for, she did not even make it all the way into the parking lot. Praise God for these turn aways and please pray that God would save their souls.

After we left Bread & Roses, we went with Dick and Deb and Michael, (another man who was ministering at Bread & Roses) to "Flag" which is the world headquarters of Scientology. Just up until a little while ago, I did not know what Scientologists believed, so I checked Kingdom Of The Cults, out of our Church library and learned a lot about them. Scientology is a cult that was started by L. Ron Hubbard in the 1900's. They do not believe in the God of the Bible, they do not have a biblical understanding of Christ, they believe in reincarnation, and L. Ron Hubbard believed that it was beneath contempt to tell a man he must repent, that he is evil. Contrary to what some may believe, you cannot be a Scientologist and a Christian.

Flag is a strange place. There are tons of Scientologists! We arrived and Michael walked with us to the other side of building where the buses drop off Scientologists. There are lots of cameras, and security guards. It was a strange place but I am glad we went. I am also glad that there are Christians who are bringing the Gospel to these people. Please pray for the Christians who are ministering to these people.

On Sunday we enjoyed the opportunity to go with our friends that we were staying with to a gathering of believers and got to meet other brothers and sisters who we did not yet know and see others who we had met years ago.

After we left the Tampa area we went to Winter Gardens. We stayed with friends there and had a great time.

On Monday morning we drove over to Orlando. We got to meet John Barros and minister alongside him at Orlando Women's Center (OWC). Mr. Barros ministers outside OWC 5 days a week. He has been doing abortion ministry full time for about 9 years. He also may have done abortion ministry before that but not full time. Now here is an amazing thing: Mr. Barros has seen at least two thousand women choose life! I was not there all day but at the end of the day Mr. Barros reported that 4 women chose life and 4 more women turned away. It was an awesome day!
Mr. Barros outside OWC

Left to Right: my sister Naomi, Mr. Barros, and myself.

One of the women that chose life at OWC that day, came early with another woman. Mr. Barros talked to them as they waited outside. They went into OWC but after a little bit they came back out and the woman asked for the paper that Mr. Barros had offered her earlier. Mr. Barros was able to pray for her before she left.

Another woman had told Karen, a Christian counselor that was there, that she was not pregnant. However she came back later. She came back out of the building and Mr. Barros asked if she was getting out of that place. She told him that she got her money back. Mr. Barros was able to pray for her as well. She then gave him a hug.

It was amazing to see God's work outside that place. Please pray for Mr. Barros, Karen, Stephen and others who minster outside that murderous place.

On our way home we went to Raleigh, North Carolina. We got to stay with Patte Smith and had a great time of fellowship with her. Mrs. Smith is very active in abortion ministry. She has been doing it for over 25 years. Some of you have seen both Mr. Barros and Mrs. Smith in the film "Babies Are Murdered Here".
Mrs. Smith and I.

We had a great time meeting brothers Phillip, Tommy, and Ray who minister at an abortion mill in Raleigh. We joined them for ministry there one morning. We did not see any turn aways or baby saves, but there was some great preaching by Phillip and Tommy. We were also blessed by a lady who brought us cold bottles of water while we were out. Along our trip we met faithful brothers and sisters who are passionate about abortion ministry and there is a lot to learn from them. Please pray that God would raise up more Christians who will go out into the public sphere and proclaim Christ and Him crucified.

It was a great vacation/ministry trip. Some people may not think that ministering outside 3 abortion mills is a great vacation activity, but I do. We are not the type of family that goes to Disney World for fun. We prefer spending time with other Christians and doing ministry. Just in case anyone was wondering if we did any normal vacation things while we were gone, we did go to the beach for a little bit, while we were in Florida.

We are very grateful to all those who hosted us along our trip. The fellowship with Christian brothers and sisters was very good.

On our way back home we went to Redeeming Grace Fellowship in Portland and enjoyed fellowship with the saints there.

Our family is now hoping to start a ministry in Rockland, Maine, which is right here near us. We were thinking about doing ministry outside a Maine Family Planning office which is located in Rockland. We knew they referred for abortions so we thinking about doing ministry there. However we also found out that they actually provide medical abortions at that location. It is also located near the public library, recreation center, a nursing home, and New Hope For Women. We are planning to do ministry in that area and would appreciate your prayers.

Please also pray for those of Pro-Life Missionaries of Maine who are still ministering outside Planned Parenthood in Portland, Maine. Pray also for Christians around the country who are bringing the Gospel to the streets.

With love in the Lord,
Virginia

How To Get Involved In Abortion Ministry, Both At Home And Outside

Hi everyone,
Sadly, some states in our country are stripping away incremental laws which had protected some children from being murdered by abortion. Some Christians in our nation are now awakening to the reality that abortion is murder, and are ready to do something to fight against it. In this post we will look at some ways that the Church of Christ can get involved to end abortion now.

First we will look at ways you can be involved from home:
Prayer
The most important thing you can do is pray. This is important both at home and on the street. Pray for those who are out at the abortion mills proclaiming the Gospel. Pray that they would be filled with God's Spirit, that they would proclaim Christ and His Gospel boldly, that God would give them wisdom to act in whatever situation that may arise, that they would be given a love for those they are ministering to. Pray also for their physical safety. Pray that they would be able to endure whatever may come their way. Pray for them to respond to those who persecute them with grace, love, and the Gospel. Pray also for strength, emotionally and spiritually.

Pray also for those who will hear, or read, the Gospel. That God would use it to draw people to Himself and that he would grant people repentance and faith. Pray for the salvation of the abortionist, the nurses, and the deathscorts.

Pray for the mothers and fathers, and other companions, that they would be saved. Pray that God would open the eyes of the parents to the truth, that they would be given a love for their child.

Pray also for the babies who are scheduled to be murdered, that they would be saved.

Another way to get involved from home, is to the use the resources God has given you in the form of technology to share the truth of what is happening.
  • Social Media
If you have a social media account, use it to share the truth about abortion. Explain why abortion is the murder of a human being created in the image of God. Explain the biblical reasons why Christians are to be against abortion and their duty to love their neighbor. Share stories of babies who have been saved. Also share prayers requests for those out at the abortion mills.

End Abortion Now, is a ministry based in Arizona which provides training and materials to Churches to get involved in abortion ministry. End Abortion Now makes it super easy to start to proclaim the truth on social media. Look at this link: Proclaim The Truth. They provide both a Facebook cover photo and a Facebook profile picture. They also provide images which you can post, along with text to copy and paste. It is really simple.

Zachary Conover from End Abortion Now, has a very good video series called "This Is Why".  They explain why abortion is still legal. Watch these videos and share them on social media. This Is Why
  • Newspapers
Something else you can do, is write to newspapers. Letters to the editor are an awesome way to spread the truth. I have done this before. If you see an article in a newspaper about abortion, write a Christian response. This is a link to one of my posts where I share my letter to the editor. Are "Abortion Protesters" Taking Away A Person's God Given Right To Choose?
  • Contact legislators
Another way to get involved is to contact legislators, police, and other government officials. End Abortion Now makes this very easy as well. End Abortion Now, has a form on their website, which is linked below, where you enter your zip code and it brings up a pre-written message to send to your legislators. The website also already has the contact information for your legislators. You add your information, such as name, address, email address, etc. It is really easy to do. Note: this does not include police.

If you prefer you can also write your own message to the government.  This is an essay I wrote: A Call To The Government Of The State Of Maine

I have also contacted the chief of police in Portland about abortion. You can call upon the police department in a city where an abortion mill is located to do his duty as regards abortion. Here is a link to my email: Call To The Portland Maine Chief Of Police

  • Write To Pastors
Consider writing to pastors in the city where an abortion mill is located. Urge them to stand up for the voiceless children who are being murdered and show them their duty as Christians to speak against this atrocity, and proclaim the Gospel.

Join Those Who Are Already On The Front Lines
Something else that is easy to do, is just join those who are on the front lines of abortion ministry. Encourage them in their work. Share Scriptures with them and ask how you can be praying for them.

Think of other things you can do to bless those out at the mill. Buying Gospel tracts is cheaper if you buy them in bulk. If you are ordering tracts, consider asking someone in ministry if they would like you to get a larger order so they can get a cheaper price. Do you have winter clothing that may be helpful in keeping people warm on the street? Consider giving them some. If you would like to purchase things you can ask them what would be helpful to them. Maybe insulated cups to keep their drinks either warm or cold while they are out?

Something that you can do, is make things to give to mothers either at the abortion mill, or mother's who choose life. If you like to knit or crochet, you can consider making baby hats to be delivered to women going into the abortion mill, to remind them of their baby. You can also make things to be delivered to women who choose life for their babies, hats, booties, sleepers, etc.

Now we move on to things you can do outside your home:
Encouraging Those Involved
If you live near an abortion mill where people minister, considering bringing them drinks and praying for them. Cold water in the summer or a cup of hot chocolate in the winter, can be a great blessing. If your Church is supportive of abortion ministry on the streets and they are located near an abortion mill, consider hosting a meal for those who go out to the abortion mill, after ministry some day.

There is a Church in Portland, where we minister, who are a great blessing to our group. They bring us water while we are out on the street and pray with people from our group. Their Church also invited our group over for lunch one day. It does not have to be something fancy. They ordered pizza, and it was an amazing blessing.

Go Out To The Abortion Mills
Again, End Abortion Now, is helpful with this. If your Church leadership approves, sign up your Church with End Abortion Now. End Abortion Now Join The Coalition When you do this, they will provide you with training resources and materials to use out at the abortion mill, including signs and tracts.

When you go out to the abortion mill, take into consideration any laws on amplification. Follow the law, and never ever engage in physical violence.

Here are some things that are good to do outside the mill.
Pray.
This is still important. You can kneel on the ground if you feel led.

Hold Signs
Signs from End Abortion Now are great, but you can also make you own signs.
Pass Out Tracts
There are many good tracts out there. You can check out Chapel Library. HeartCry Missionary Society also has an amazing tract by Paul Washer. Ryan Denton also has tracts. By the way, I love his "Dear Christian" tract! Living Waters even has a tract called "Life In The Womb".
Preach
There are not enough godly men preaching the Gospel on the streets of America. This is a great thing to do outside an abortion mill. Your sermon does not have to be centered on abortion. Make sure the Gospel is your main priority.
Read Scripture Aloud
Just grab a Bible and start reading. Do so loud enough that passersby can hear you, and read boldly. The Word of God is living and active. Proclaim it with power!
Try To Engage People In Conversation
Talk to those passing by and inform them about what is happening. Proclaim the Gospel to everyone you can.
Plead With Those Who Are Going Into The Abortion Mill
Plead with mother to have mercy on their children. Plead with fathers to stand up and protect women and children. Let them know that you are there to help, ask them to talk to you. Offer them literature. Tell them about Christ, although your time may be short you can plead with them to repent and turn to Christ in faith. You can also tell that there is life in Jesus Christ. You can also tell them that the clinic is a place of death.
Note:
If you are out at the abortion mill, recording can be helpful. I suggest recording whenever you are out at the mill. Audio footage or body camera footage, can be used as legal evidence both in cases of physical assault or if you have a confrontation with the police. Recording can be a great protection. It can provide an accurate account of what was said and what happened. Those who murder children are also not afraid of lying about those who confront their murderous actions. If you have a smart phone you could use an audio recorder app on that. Amazon also sells audio recorders. We have a Safevant body camera which is good, although they are expensive.

Legality
It is legal for you to stand on public property and exercise your first amendment rights. Make you are not on private property, check any laws on amplification if you plan to use any, do not block any walkways, do not force people to take literature, don't threaten violence.

If you have any negative confrontation with the police consider talking to a good lawyer. Center For Religious Expression, and Thomas More Law Center, are both amazing.

Police officers will sometimes remain within the law and only issue lawful orders, some police officers however, can make unlawful commands. Make sure you know your rights, and have good legal help, but if you are unsure of what is correct, follow police orders and ask a lawyer later. Here is a list of guidelines for talking with law enforcement officers. Guidelines For Talking With Law Enforcement Officers

Meet With Your Legislators
Another way to get involved is to meet with your legislators and tell them the truth about abortion and why they must do all they can to abolish abortion. If you are able to speak before the city counsel of a town that has an abortion mill, I would encourage you to take the opportunity. Leadership and members of Apologia Church spoke before the Phoenix, Arizona city counsel. Here are some videos of that. Desiree Maes, Jeff Durbin, Zachary Conover, Luke Pierson.

For pastors and elders:
I would like to call pastors to lead their congregations in the fight against abortion.
Preach On Abortion
Preach a sermon explaining how the Gospel relates to abortion and confronting the culture of death. Point out that abortion is murder, what the Bible says about human life, and how the Church should respond.
Encourage Your Congregation To Get Involved
Encourage your congregation to get involved both from home and on the streets. Consider praying together as a Church for those who are doing abortion ministry, and pray for the end of abortion, encourage your congregation to do the same.
Church Movie Night
Consider hosting a Church Movie Night and show the movie Babies Are Murdered Here. You could do a meal and a prayer time.
Sign Up Your Church With End Abortion Now

I hope that if you are not yet involved in abortion ministry, this will give you some ideas to get started.

With love in the Lord,
Virginia

Guidelines For Talking With Law Enforcement Officers

Hi everyone,
I hope this list will provide help to those who are involved in open air ministry, as to how to interact with law enforcement officers.

Guidelines For Talking With Law Enforcement Officers
  • Study your legal rights and any local laws relating to your activities.
  • Have a good Christian lawyer. I suggest Thomas More Law Center, Center For Religious Expression, or Alliance Defending Freedom. Our family ministry uses Center For Religious Expression for legal help related to free speech issues. We are very blessed by their work.
  • If a confrontation from law enforcement occurs, assert your rights, and be bold, yet respectful. Never raise your voice to an officer.
  • Carry with you local laws relating to street preaching and free speech. If you have ever had trouble with law enforcement in the past and have any information from lawyers regarding what activities are allowed, take that information with you.
  • If you think you may have trouble with law enforcement in a certain location, put your lawyer's phone number as a contact in your phone so that you have quick access to legal help.
  • When you know you have the right to engage in your activities, defend that right. If you think that you may be in the wrong, comply with the officer's request and contact a lawyer to obtain information about the situation and what activities are allowed.
  • If the police arrive always take either video or audio recording of all communication if possible. This may prove helpful in the future if any legal action ensues. Recording all activities on the street can be useful but if that is not an option for you make sure you record at least any interaction with law enforcement.
  • Have a list of “Questions for police officers” ready to use if the need arises. Below is a list of sample questions:
What is your name and rank in the police department?”
(This can be helpful in the future so that you know who you talked to.)
What law am I breaking?”
(If you are not breaking a law then law enforcement has no authority to tell you to stop your activities.)
Is there a way I can continue my activities while obeying the law?”
(If you can make a minor adjustment and continue your activities, you can do so, you can always contact a lawyer later.)
Will I be arrested or cited if I do not comply with your requests?”
(If this answer is “no” then feel free to continue your preaching. Police can make suggestions but if those do not carry the force of law then they are merely suggestions.)
What is the best way for my lawyers to contact you?”

  • Always ask the officer questions so that you can fully understand what is being said and what is being asked of you.
  • If you believe that your rights are being taken away and are planning to take legal action against the officer, tell them so. Say something like, “Sir/Ma'am I believe you are unjustly infringing on my Constitutional rights and I will seek legal action against you.”
  • If you have trouble with an officer acting unjustly, consider contacting the chief of police or other supervisors to explain the issue with which you are dealing. I have had success with this in the past. When an officer acted unjustly, I contacted the police department and they started an internal investigation and we were able to avoid going to court. Yet the officer was still held accountable for his actions. This approach may not work but you can always try.

A Call To The Portland Maine Chief Of Police

Hi everyone,
This is a letter I wrote about abortion to the Portland Maine Chief of Police.

"Hello Chief Malloch,
I know we have corresponded in the past but I would like to give an introduction. I serve with Pro-Life Missionaries of Maine and at certain times of the year I minister on the sidewalk outside Planned Parenthood, at 443 Congress Street, ministering to lost souls and proclaiming the Gospel of Christ. We seek to do this in a manner that is lawful, as we believe in obeying the authorities God has placed over us, so far as they do not command us to disobey our God.

As a Christian I believe in the value of human life from conception to natural death. Every human being at the point of fertilization is a person, endowed with the right to life by their Creator God in whose image they are created.

I would like to appeal to you as a magistrate in the city of Portland to do justice for all people who fall under your protection. Everyday in our country, more than 3,000 children are murdered by abortion. Almost every Friday, in your city, babies, human beings, persons you are supposed to protect, are literally torn limb from limb. D&E abortions, which are performed in your city, are a gruesome act of murder, against children. If anyone else was murdered by these means, it would be called inhumane, however when this is done to a child in the womb, it is called "healthcare" or a "woman's right". This is evil and must be stopped.

As a magistrate who has sworn to uphold the constitution, you have a duty to protect life. I am aware that many people today believe that an errant court decision from 45 years ago, is binding law over our country. The issue is that Roe v. Wade is not law. The Supreme Court cannot make laws, and when they rule against the constitution and say that murder is acceptable, they must not be obeyed but rather ignored. An example is Dred Scott. It was not overturned, it was ignored.

You have a duty to enforce justice. You may say that you are neutral as regards abortion but there is no neutrality. Either you are for life or you are for death. You have authority in this city, and with that authority comes rights and a duty. (See lessermagistrate.com) Because of your position of authority, if you stand by doing nothing, after now being told that children are being murdered in your city, you are complicit to the murder of children, you are neglecting your oath to protect human life, and you are perverting justice.

I plead with you as an ambassador of Jesus Christ to do everything within your power to stop the murder of the innocent which takes place under your watch. Do not provide security for those who murder the unborn. Please use your position to call on higher magistrates to abolish abortion. Please do not enforce laws which provide special protections for abortionists, or those which seek to limit the freedoms of those who plead for the lives of children.

I urge you to stand up for justice, use your power to protect life, not stand complicit to murder, and do all you can to end abortion now.

Babies are being murdered in your city, what will you do to stop it?

Sincerely,
Virginia Cowperthwaite"

Pro-Life, Abolition, New York, And Apathetic Professing Christians Who Remain Silent.

Hi everyone,
I have a lot to cover as I have not yet written about the March For Life or the new murderous laws of New York, so let's get started.

First let's cover what is called the "Pro-Life" movement.
I serve with Pro-Life Missionaries of Maine, however I am not merely pro-life, I am an abortion abolitionist. That means that I am not content with merely putting regulations on the murder of unborn children by abortion, such as a heartbeat bill. While we can rejoice that some baby's lives are saved because of these bills, other babies are still being murdered. I believe that abortion is murder, and must be abolished from the point of conception forward. I am also one who believes that abortionists should be punished as murderers as well as any other person who pays for the murder of a child, such as the mother. To be clear, most women who have abortions are not victims contrary to what others may believe. I know that some women may be forced to have an abortion against their will, however in the vast majority of circumstances, the mother is not innocent, she herself is a murderer.

Overall the pro-life movement is a failure. Yes, some babies have been saved, but when your main focus is not preaching the Gospel of Christ, when you call women who murder their children victims instead of murderers, and you fail to call abortion what it really is, the murder of children, when you treat abortion as a "choice", "option", or "decision" instead of murder, when you start sounding so much like Planned Parenthood that people think that your material is pro-choice, and when you actually call yourself pro-choice, you have failed.

What we need is for Christians to realize that the Gospel is what changes people's hearts, and that the Gospel is the answer to abortion. No more, trying to coax women into our clinics so that we can tell them that there are "choices" other than having an abortion while not actually telling them that abortion is wrong, or that they are enemies of God who deserve Hell because of their sins against a Holy God and not sharing the hope that is found in Jesus Christ for those who repent and turn to Him in faith. No, stop playing games with them and tell them the truth. Abortion is murder, murder is against the law of God and they need to repent and turn to Christ.  If you actually believe that abortion is murder, treat it as such. Call for the complete abolition of abortion, NOW! Don't ask legislators if you can make protections for some babies while not protecting other children created in the image of God who may not have a heartbeat yet.

Many, many people gathered in Washington D.C. recently to March for Life. Many Roman Catholics and people who follow other false religions, can say they are pro-life, however, we should not let non-believers lead the way in pleading for the lives of those who are being killed. As Christians, we have the true Gospel which can change the hearts and minds of mothers, so that they do not desire to kill their children. We also have a command to preach this Gospel, and a command to rescue those who are being taken away to death, (Proverbs 24:11.) The Church of Jesus Christ should be standing up to defend the voiceless. Yet the Church in America is largely apathetic and silent about abortion, but I will write about that more later.

Now on to New York. New York State has now allowed non-physicians to perform abortions, have allowed murder of children up to the third trimester of pregnancy, and taken away rights for children born alive after an abortion. And the response of many people to this decision, was celebration. What a wicked country we live in! The governor of New York even ordered for a pink light to be lit on the World Trade Center to celebrate this evil. Ironically, listed on the 9/11 memorial are the names of 11 unborn children, who lost their lives on 9/11. Now the World Trade Center is lit up to celebrate the "right" to kill others just like them.

Another thing, why are people outraged at this new law that allows abortion up to the third trimester? Abortion is no less murder at conception than it is in the third trimester. If you are outraged at the murder of children, you should have been outraged for a long time now. Abortion has been around for a long, long time. 3,000 babies have been murdered every day in our country, we should be calling out for justice for them as well. It should not take this new law to awaken Christians to the truth. They should have been fighting against abortion a long time ago.

In response to the State's decision, brother Jon Speed from the "Babies Are Murdered Here" film, who also lives in New York, closed his bookstore and put up a sign which said that this was a day of mourning in New York State and that they would not collect sales tax for a tyrannical government who murders babies, they would resume regular business the next day collecting sales tax under duress. He finished by saying, END ABORTION NOW. Some well known people picked up on the story and the story was shared thousands of times of Facebook. Mr. Speed also appeared on Fox News. We need more people who are willing to stand up like Jon did and make a peaceful protest to the unjust rulers who protect the murder of children. If you are ever looking for some books, may I suggest Jon Speed the Book Scout.

Now I move on to something else that is irritating: apathetic and silent professing Christians. Christians need to wake up to reality, children are being murdered in our country, the pro-life movement is not doing what needs to be done to abolish abortion, and many professing Christians are sitting in Church pews not willing to say anything!
Where is the public outcry from Christians, demanding justice for the pre-born?
Where are all the Christians who care enough about their fellow image bearers that they will stand up against our culture and demand that this murder be stopped?
Where are those who will be brave enough to call abortion what it is and show others that we cannot play games with this and need to treat it like the grievous evil that it is?
Where are those who will realize that the pro-life movement, is failing in this fight?
Where are those who realize that the Gospel is the only answer?
Where are those who actually believe that abortion is murder and are willing to treat it as such?
Who is willing to be different than most other professing Christians in America and actually open their mouth and say something instead of sitting by silent, while your neighbors whom you are commanded to love are being slaughtered?

In our country, abortion is a sin that is accepted by many people as permissible if not celebrated as wonderful. It may continue to spread, and the Church of Jesus Christ needs to get out of their cozy, comfortable pews and take the Gospel outside of the walls of their buildings, and confront the culture. They should be on the frontlines of the battle to fight against this.

In our country and around the world, those who stand up and proclaim the name of Christ will be persecuted. If you go out to the abortion mills with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, yes, you may be laughed at, mocked, cursed, you may have someone say they wish you had been aborted, you may be spit on, or possibly physically assaulted, but you know what, God is sovereign, and He will give us the strength to endure when we are persecuted for righteousness' sake. We have a command from our Master, let us obey that call and leave the details to Him.

There are still Christians around the country who are willing to stand up and follow the commands of their Lord, and plead for the lives of the unborn, they are serving on the frontlines of this battle. Jon Barros, Patte Smith, Rusty Thomas, Jon Speed, Jeff Durbin, Donna Hebert, there are many. I challenge you to pray for them as they serve, and follow their example.

What can you do to help abolish abortion?

With love in the Lord,
Virginia

Jeremiah Thomas, A Letter To His Generation And His Wish

Hi everyone,
I do not know how many of you have heard of Jeremiah Thomas. Those in abortion ministry may have heard of his father Rusty Thomas from Operation Rescue/Operation Save America. (OSA) Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and passed away in August. After he was diagnosed, the Make-A-Wish foundation contacted him. Jeremiah's wish was to speak to Governor Greg Abbott of the State of Texas about ending abortion in his State. Governor Abbott told Jeremiah that that is what they would be pursuing in the next legislative session and that his wish had been granted. Jeremiah did not see the fulfillment of his wish before he died. Now a new initiative has been started called "Jeremiah's Wish" and there is a petition for Governor Abbott to keep his promise to Jeremiah.

The Republican Party of Texas re-adopted this plank to its platform: “We call upon the Texas Legislature to enact legislation stopping the murder of unborn children and to ignore and refuse to enforce any and all federal statutes, regulations, executive orders, and court rulings that would deprive an unborn child of the right to life.”

The legislative session in which Governor Abbott said they would be pursuing the outlaw of abortion altogether in Texas, starts today.  I call upon all Christians to sign this petition and do all you can to help abolish the murder of unborn children in our country.

Something for young people to do, whether you live in Texas or elsewhere. Below is a poster that OSA has posted. I would like to challenge all Christian young people to take part in this. Even if you do not think you do well on camera or are afraid of it. Believe me, standing staring at a camera to make the video was not a strong suit of mine. However, I wanted to do it so I did. Get over the fear. This may be easier said then done. My video on Youtube appears at the bottom of this post.

Before Jeremiah died he wrote a letter to his generation. Here is a link to it. Jeremiah Thomas Letter To His Generation

Even in his short life Jeremiah fought for the abolition of abortion. At 16 he could preach both in Church and at the abortion mill. God used him in a powerful way. May we all strive to use our lives to glorify God and advance His Kingdom. May those of us who are of Jeremiah's Generation use the days of our youth to grow in our relationship with God and the building of His Kingdom. Let us throw off the expectations of our culture, that we can be foolish and immature simply because we are in our teenage years,  and look to the standard of God's Word. We are not exempt from being held accountable for our actions, we still are commanded to preach the Gospel, rescue those who are being taken away to death, and studying to show ourselves approved.

May the people of God rise up, and storm the gates of Hell in Jesus' name!

Some Recommended Materials

Hi everyone,
These are some materials I recommend for either personal learning or to go through with others.

The Unity Of The Bible
This is an amazing sermon by Dr. James White at Apologia Church. For those who do not know, Dr. White is the director of Alpha and Omega ministries and recently joined Apologia Church.

The Sermon That Shocked Everyone. Unforgettable ending!
This is another sermon. Jeff Durbin preached this about the Gospel and ministry and abortion ministry. As the title suggests, the ending is great and you do not want to miss it.

Pastor Confronts Local Government
Jeff Durbin and other Christians from Apologia Church went before the Phoenix City counsel and urged them to end abortion. This is brother Durbin's speech.

180 movie
This is a short film from Ray Comfort on abortion. For those who are not involved in abortion ministry, you may want to watch this film before watching Babies Are Murdered Here linked below.

Babies Are Murdered Here
This is a good wake up call to those in the Church who are not involved in abortion ministry and a good reminder of what is actually taking place for those who are.

This Is Why
These are short videos featuring Zachary Conover on why abortion is still legal.

James White on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and Jehovah's witnesses.
Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints
Jehovah's Witnesses

Dr. White's book "Letters To A Mormon Elder" is also good.

Be About The Cure
This is a very good sermon by Sye Ten Bruggencate which challenges us to focus on the Gospel rather than on winning arguments with unbelievers.

How To Answer The Fool
This is one of brother Sye's movies, which includes excerpts from a debate, talks on the college campus and teaching. It is a very good film on presuppositional apologetics.

Epic Debate Over God's Existence
For those who are into debates, this is Sye Ten Bruggencate, Jeff Durbin and Paul Viggiano debating 3 professing atheists.

The Refining Reason Debate: Matt Dillahunty and Sye Ten Bruggencate

Debating Dillahunty
This is Sye's documentary of the debate with Matt Dillahunty.

Hopefully these resources help you as you seek to learn more about the Bible, ministry and apologetics.
