Court ruling allowing preaching outside the abortion mill had been overturned!

Hi everyone,

Yesterday we saw that Pro-Life Missionaries of Maine is once again in the news. Shortly before we started going to the abortion mill in Portland, Brian Ingalls got in trouble with the police because his preaching could be heard inside the rooms in Planned Parenthood. Brian was sued by Maine attorney General Janet Mills.

Once all the court cases were done and Andrew March sued multiple police officers the city of Portland then had to pay 56,000 dollars to the Pro-Life Missionaries. Here is one of the articles written about Andrew. Watch the video included in the article. Andrew had a very respectful conversation with the officer. Search Andrew March and Brian Ingalls free speech and buffer zones and you will find a lot more about the case. The story was covered in many news papers around the country.

The city of Portland, Maine tried to make a 39 foot buffer zone around the abortion mill which meant that our group had to stand across the street. Planned Parenthood did not want the protesters to be able to heard inside the building. They, however said that parades and other things that made loud noises on Congress street in front of the abortion mill did not cause problems. They only wanted the missionaries silenced because of their message. The judge ruled that this was unconstitutional and the missionaries went back to preaching 8 feet from the door to the abortion mill, until this Tuesday.

On Tuesday the district judge overturned the decision. They want us to be "quiet" whatever that means. Portland police may start forcing us to be quiet. This probably means that we will not be able to preach loud enough that they can hear us inside Planned Parenthood. We do not know what this means concerning open air preaching there but I will post updates as this goes on. Since this case has been through so many courts, who knows, maybe this will end up in the supreme court of the United States. Brian has already contacted his lawyer and will be checking in with them again before going back out to the abortion mill tomorrow.

Our constitutional rights to free speech are being stripped away. The first amendment says, "Congress shall make no law regarding an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech," Christianity is my religion and I have been commanded to rescue those being taken away to death and to preach the Gospel. When you take away our right to preach you are taking away our right to the exercise of my religion and my freedom of speech. America has come to the point where constitutional rights can be taken away simply because Planned Parenthood wants to murder babies without opposition from Christians preaching the Gospel.

However the faithful brothers and sisters outside the abortion mill will continue to preach the Gospel because they know that it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes and they know that God is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. They will continue to glorify God through the proclamation of the Gospel no matter what may happen.

We will see what happens and I will post updates. You can see the full story on WGME one of many news stations that is covering the story. The comments might be fun to read if you have the time. Some are not funny though. Please be praying for those who are opposed to us as well. They need salvation!

Things are heating up at the abortion mill and some are now receiving threats. These people who are threatening are enemies of God and they are angry with with those who preach the Gospel please keep them and the missionaries in prayer.

Many have asserted that we intimidate women who are going in to the abortion mill. In response to this baseless assertion, a brother from our group, Matt, made up a collage of how intimidating we are to the women. This is the face of the intimidation that happens from our group. Below is the intimidation of women that comes from Planned Parenthood.

This news only came out on Tuesday and since then it has been covered on many many news sources. Sadly with the news has come threats. People are even threatening to "shoot to kill" concerning abortion protesters.

Some of the Pro-Life Missionaries have also received personal threats. These have been reported to the police already but prayer is needed right now for those who are going out to the mill in Portland tomorrow and in the weeks to come.

Due to the expected arrival of my youngest sibling we will not be at the abortion mill for awhile but others are still going to be there and they need prayers for safety.

We are not the only ones who are having legal issues due to abortion ministry. Last week was the Fellowship Conference New England. Angela Braxton was there. Angela ministers outside one of the biggest abortion mills in the country in New York. Her and 14 others are being sued by the attorney general of New York for ridiculous claims. These claims include shoving women into walls, which never happened and for which there is no evidence. Please be praying for the situation there. Angela does have a lawyer.

While on the topic of legal issues, earlier this week we had a chance to talk with our lawyer. In my post from a few weeks ago, A Week With the Police, I wrote about our encounter with the chief of police in Wiscasset. We believe that the law that the chief cited that day was misinterpreted by the chief and that it was a case of targeted enforcement so we got a lawyer to pursue the case. Please be praying for that situation.

Please be in prayer for our family as we are expecting the newest member of the family to be born any day. We are staying around the house and hoping that the baby will come soon but God's timing is always best. But please be praying that Mommy will be able to cope well with the end of pregnancy. Daddy is also having some health problems, so I guess you can pray for him too.

Even though we will not going to the abortion mill for awhile we are considering doing some ministry here in Rockland we are hoping to educate the public about abortion even if we cannot be at the actual mill. Please be praying for us as we consider what the best way is to go about this.

Last weekend was the Fellowship Conference New England. We had a great time of fellowship with the saints. It was great to see people that we had not seen for awhile. We got to hear Jesse Barrington preach again which was once again an amazing sermon. He preached about the 2 thieves who were crucified with Jesus. He said that every person falls behind one of these thieves. Either we submit to Christ and recognize our sin and trust in Christ alone or we reject God, suppress the truth that we know about God and mock Him. Let us all stand behind on the side of Christ and let us not stand done until every man and woman has heard the truth of the Gospel! Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is LORD to the glory of God the Father!

With Love in the Lord,
Virginia
